The position

• Architect & Develop: Design, implement, and maintain advanced T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and other database objects in SQL Server 2022.
• Optimize & Tune: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze performance bottlenecks and deploy best-in-class optimization strategies (indexing, partitioning, query plan analysis, etc.).
• Advanced Feature Utilization: Leverage the full set of SQL Server capabilities (e.g., in-memory tables, columnstore indexes, advanced replication, and more) to drive efficiency and robustness.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Implement performance monitoring solutions, analyze real-world workloads, and rapidly resolve issues to uphold strict SLAs and uptime requirements.
• Documentation & Standards: Maintain best practices, create technical documentation, and promote coding standards for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

• Extensive SQL Server Expertise: Proven hands-on experience in SQL Server 2016+ (SQL Server 2022 strongly preferred) with a deep understanding of T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and advanced query optimization.
• Real-World Tuning Experience: Track record of tackling complex performance issues in production environments, using tools like SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and Performance Monitor.
• In-Depth Knowledge: Familiarity with indexing strategies, partitioning, query plan analysis, memory-optimized tables, advanced replication, and various backup/recovery models.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to dissect and resolve database challenges in high-traffic, high-volume data ecosystems.
• Team Player: Strong collaboration and communication skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams and presenting complex concepts in an understandable manner.
