Quality Assurance Analyst
The Quality Assurance Analyst supports the Product Manager/Owner by ensuring that products meet the established standards of quality, including reliability, usability, and performance. The Quality Assurance Analyst collaborates with development teams to identify and resolve defects, conducts thorough testing, and documents results. This role involves creating and executing test plans, analyzing test results, and working cross-functionally to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.

We are looking for motivated individuals with a minimum of 2 years of industry experience, with progressive levels of responsibilities and experience working successfully in small teams. You have experience executing manual and automated tests for products.  You have maintained test environments, including databases and have the ability to understand and test complex and integrated systems.

You will be able to support testing objectives in both Agile and traditional software development environments.  You are inquisitive by nature and like to understand how software works. You like to track down bugs and provide good information on how to reproduce them. You are innately curious as to how things work and are not afraid to get your hands dirty. You welcome the opportunity to look under the hood and help troubleshoot issues and improve the product

You have good communication and organizational abilities, and your interpersonal skills allow you to work with people at all levels.  You are self-motivated / directed and have strong desires to expand upon your knowledge and gain additional responsibility.

Education and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance or software testing.
  • Experience with various types of testing (functional, regression, integration, performance).
  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and defect tracking systems.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Knowledge of automated testing tools (e.g., Test Studio) is a plus.
  • Understanding of relational databases and structured query language (SQL).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ADA compliance requirements and related testing tools.
